Fall Foliage Photos Around St. Elmo, Colorado
September 25, 2007 - I had Tuesday morning open and I decided
to investigate the fall colors happening inside Chalk Creek Canyon up to St. Elmo.
I had already spent some time capturing some decent fall foliage photos last week
(Twin Lakes,
Cottonwood Lake)
and I think
these are my best fall color shots up to this point in the season.
The drive up into Chalk Creek Canyon via Chaffee County Road 162 is well-known as a really pretty drive during autumn. As you will note in the photos below, there are many opportunities to photograph a variety of scenes including mountainscapes, aspen groves, historic buildings and more. As of today (9/26), there is still plenty of fall foliage to view - This appears to be the best weekend to view autumn's colors before winter really begins to take over things! Lastly, I would like to once again plug a myspace page dedicated to St. Elmo. If you're on myspace, you are very welcome to connect with it: www.myspace.com/stelmocolorado. Thank you for visiting and enjoy the rest of autumn! All the best,
